It's gotta get better!

Busy at work for a few months, but that's life in my profession. As we near the 4/15 deadline i begin to make plans for some fun. BRR is on my list as well as visiting my daughter at college. So then on 4/4/09 my step dad passes away in upstate NY. Sad, but it was his time. Made a quick 20 hour round trip for the service on 4/8-9 and didn't miss much work. Nice to see folks and celebrate his life.

 

On friday 4/10 my mother calls and my grandfather (her dad) passed the day after my step dads (her hubby) service. It was kind of expected as he was 3 days short of 101! Funeral was on 4/17 (sw florida) and we spend the weekend with family.

 

Wife's company is in acquisition mode so all during my grandad's funeral day she's back and forth with work calls/emails. Result is she needs to head out for a few days so we cut the weekend post funeral family time short so she can prepare. No problem as our life is a little frazzled anyway and we have to be fluid. Trip to see daughter cancelled and we finally have some time this weekend.

 

All along been planning my usual sunday ride on the RT. Check tire pressure saturday pm and the rear is a tad low. Sure enough a screw is firmly planted in the rear tire. Instead of the ride i yanked the rim off and getting the tire changed out this week. It was close to it's mileage life anyway.

 

So now the plan is a nice ride this weekend. Our daughter comes home for the summer sunday, and it looks like she landed a decent summer job.

 

Look forward to seeing some of you folks now that the dust is settled.

 

BTW-my mom is handling all this pretty well.
