John844
I just put a HID kit on my r1100rt, and now I need to check the adjustment of it. I know I saw a chart somewhere on here describing the process to set the beam pattern, but I just can't seem to find it with the search. I think it was as simple as having the bike a certain distance from a wall and then adjusting the light to shine a certain height on the wall. Any chance someone has that information? Thanks, John Link to comment

don_m
a 2in. drop at 20 ft. for the low beam...You should be sitting on the bike to get a accurate measure. It is best if you set up a target board. Link to comment
John844
Thanks guys. Are drop measurements from the center of the light to the top of the beam pattern? What is a target board, and how would I set one up? Link to comment
NoHeat
The diagram below is what I used for my 1150RT. I used a piece of masking tape on a wall to mark the desired height. I viewed the pattern while sitting on the bike, then adjusted the knob on the dash to get the beam to hit the mark. I was mainly interested getting the correct height in the left side of the pattern, since that's what would shine into the eyes of oncoming cars (unless you're in the UK, Australia, etc.) Link to comment
