Torquemeister
I was talking with a friend who was close to selling his 2004 R1150RT in favor of a new GS. I mentioned to him that I was beginning to look for a used 2001 or 2002 R1150RT (to keep the cost lower) and he warned me that the first year or two had very sensitive server-assist especially on the rear brake. The point was that the later 2003 and 2004 year models might have the servo-assist moderated somewhat. Is this correct and if I'm not a fan of servo assist so I try to locate a 2003/4 year model? Thanks, Robert Link to comment
Richard_D
I believe after a certain vin.# in 2002 the brake sensitivity was changed. Link to comment
David
If this issue is important to you, don't buy an 1150RT with a VIN below ZE 87455. Link to comment
