taters
i have a 2004 1150 rt . to put ohlins shocks on would cost about $1400 plus $250 for installation. has anyone done this? if you have did you notice a huge difference in handling? did you feel it was worth it? thanks Link to comment
David
Tell us more about your riding style and how many miles you have on the bike, and that'll help us answer your question more intelligently. But regardless, that installation price seems really high to me. An noob with no experience could install front and back in less than two hours. Once you've done it before, it's just over an hour. W. Mazelin
I have Ohlins on my GS, front & rear. They are wonderful, a big improvement in cotrol. I put them on last December when in the middle of a journey the rear shock lost a seal and started leaking oil. I had the shocks installed by a dealer, but it didn't cost $250. Link to comment

Tool Man
Hi Paul, First off it shouldn't cost 1.4k for the shocks. And second, it doesn't take 3hrs to install them on an RT. It takes all of 1.5hrs. at best with a lunch break, phone calls, and who knows what interruptions, and can be done with common hand tools. And third...it will be the single most bang for the buck improvement you can make for your RT. If you decide to purchase them, PM me and I will send you a step by step installation guide and a set up procedure once YOU install them. Link to comment

Best thing I have done..and easier than a TB / valves. Mike works well with others.... Link to comment
