Saturday, Gary, a.k.a. Edgar, volunteered to lead a ride from the Dallas area to Turner Falls, Oklahoma. He said he was looking for a crack Team to lead an assault on the Arbuckle Mountains. Crack Team, uhm, not so much. More like a Team on crack!

Mike (Mike05), Gary (Edgar), John (SilverEagle), and Brad (Tobyzusa).

First stop was the one lane Carpenters Bluff Bridge over the Red River. Built in 1910, it was originally designed for trains.

I liked the separate lane for horses and wagons.

John's purty FJR. I think Gary is jealous!

We eventually made it to Turner Falls, but with the drought, not much was falling.

We did the fun 77D loop, but the road had been heavily sanded, reducing the trek to a slow, slippery, sliding crawl. I realize this post is thin on pictures, but hopefully Gary and Mike can contribute theirs as well.

Oh yeah, for those of you in the frozen north, the high for the day was 74. Not bad for a February ride. Gary, thanks again for setting this up!
