how often do online forums vanish?

For four years I always checked the online forum for Toyota Sienna minivans whenever I wanted to find out how to change shock absorbers for example. But this week the entire forum vanished.

 

It was http://www.siennaclub.org/forum/ but last week it became a generic webpage (the domain name registration was changed as well).

 

So all the knowledge on that forum vanished.

 

Anybody know how often this happens to forums for motor vehicles?

In this case, he just let the domain name expire accidentally and someone else grabbed it:
