tallman Posted January 28, 2009 Share Posted January 28, 2009 When we arrived in Cedar Key, we saw that were not the first to arrive. Almost immediately other riders began to join the party. Kate on her GS Adventure. Dennis and Vickie from Tampa, on their matching K1200R Sports. Beth with Beth and Calvin (NoSocks), Marty. Beth with some Tampa riders, Alan , Garret, Jeff, Ken, Vic. Chris K makes an appearance Ken, not a poser. Tallman, motorman, and waylaps. Mealtime. Beth, Calvin, Richard_D. Bruce, Wade, Ron, John, Matt, Bill. Beth, Vickie, Dennis, yours truly. Rich Edwards and Candy. Ken, with Resha and friends. Resha was in town from Tallahassee but didn't know about the event. Bill (Knifemaker) and Bernie. After lunch tires were kicked, and then lit. Many different roads were taken on the routes home. The Coast Guard was out in force. It was great to see so many smiling faces from so many different places. Those of us who stayed over had a waterfront dinner. One of the reasons I love to make this trip is the chance to spend time with my best friend. The next morning sunrise set the tone for the day. (no filter used) We had a chance for a great lunch on the way home. The only problem the whole weekend brings me to our caption contest photo. What is Marty Hill doing, and is Chris guilty too? Thanks to all who made the weekend memorable. Ken, Joel, Chris K, all riding down from Jorja. Bill for bringing his wonderful family. Calvin for showing up w/his lovely lady, Beth. Marty for being Marty. Ken and Kate for attending their first BMWST event southern style. The folks from Tallahassee who are easy to be with. The BMW Riders of Tampa Bay who are all excellent people, see you at the Belt Sander Races! Let's do it again next year! Link to comment

Thanks for always leading the way. Out the 5 times we have nailed 2 tree rats. The weather has been different each time too. Freezing cool to rain to great riding weather. Unlocked a car on this trip. We need to get some T-shirts made???? BTW I think Marty is happy cause he is getting a Florida plate.........shhhhhhhhhh Link to comment

We could get t-shirts made up, ie Ceder Key RTE 2009 number 5 or however the design, maybe even with BMWSportTourning logo on the sleeve, sale either at coast for a dollar or so over. Either get money back to pay for shirts or make extra and help cost keeping up keep on this site. Write a check to Leslie from the Florida crew. We could do this for the brat wruts fest in April. I could find a vender in town for the cheapest, get one of the board members to make a logo front and back, makes some shirts, get a price etc......... What do you think??? That way you could have a could of shirts to mow the yard etc........... Ceder Key 6 to BRR 3 etc........... Link to comment
