prhkgh
Will Ohlin's front and rear shocks/springs from a 2000 R1100RT fit on a 2002 R1150RT-P? Previous owner of my old R1100RT had Ohlin's put on, that only have 10-15K miles on them. I just got a 2002 R1150RT-P, with 100K miles, and I'm sure the original suspension. Will the Ohlin's from the 1100 fit the 1150? Anyone know? Thanks, Paul Link to comment
Linz
I think that the front will and the rear will not. I had Wilburs on my R1100RT and was told that the rear would not fit the R1150RT I now have. I think perhaps that the Ohlins would have the same issue. Linz Link to comment
prhkgh
Thanks...I would think that would be the same for the Ohlins too. I appreciate the input. Paul Link to comment
AndyS
Will Ohlin's front and rear shocks/springs from a 2000 R1100RT fit on a 2002 R1150RT-P? Will the Ohlin's from the 1100 fit the 1150? Anyone know? Thanks, Paul I think the answer is a resounding no. For the standard bikes; R1150RT = 33 53 7 666 379 R1100RT = 33 53 2 331 946. The top part of the shock is the same, but the lower attachment point is completely opposite between the 2 models. The R1150RT has a tubulation that is clamped into a recess. The R100RT has a fork that stradles its mounting point. Andy Link to comment
prhkgh
Thanks Andy, you just saved me a lot of wrenching only to find out it wouldn't work. Paul Link to comment
