renopat
Where is the air filter located on my 2007 R1200RT? Link to comment
gordiet
Remove all the plastic on the right side and you will see the box. There are a couple of clips to remove the front of the pastic housing and walla! There it is, just pull it out and put the new one in. While your there you might change the tranny oil as well. renopat
Thanks, I should have asked this question sooner, I changed the tranny and final drive oil last week. Oh well more practice removing the plastic won't hurt me. Link to comment
Lawman
If it's like my 05 RT you will need to squeeze the two clips toward each other using your thumb and index finger and then pull on the clip to pull it out..You may need pliers to pull it out..When reinserinting the clips be sure you tap them all the way in until the tabs pop back out otherwise you will not get a good seal and air will get in around the filter..I used a 6 inch tool and a small hammer to tap the bottom clip all the way in.
