hexairheadbeemerguy Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Am already going through severe withdrawals up here in the frozen north; at this moment -26 and only getting colder. The Blue Max('07RT) is hibernating in the garage, winterized until spring. Envy you folks down south who can ride either year round or most of it, will be caging now for the next 100 or so days now.
Ken H. Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 We're in Edmonton too, our first winter here. -30C (-22F) predicted for tonight. Was out in the garage a little while ago (were I can just barely see the bike among all the moving boxes) -6C (21F) in there. It's going to be a loooong winter. Guess I'd better snuggle up with an AeroStitch or CycleGadgets catalog! How am I going to do a winter farkle project with the garage that cold though!?!
TomK Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 A balmy 7F here. With the season's first major snow I am now iced in for the rest of the winter.
randys Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Winter emergency here, they are rationing sunscreen, and the lines are horrible!
Calvin (no socks) Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I just got out of the swimming pool....52 degree water, brrrrrr.

You could always bring it into the living room.
tallman Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Winter emergency here, they are rationing sunscreen, and the lines are horrible! Yeh, what’s up with that, eh? I’m trying to catch up on my yard work and worry about getting sunburned. They're everywhere this time of year.
RichEdwards Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 We're in Edmonton too, our first winter here. -30C (-22F) predicted for tonight. At least the traffic in Edmonton is light. It seems like most Canadians are down here clogging our roads and causing 20 minute waits in our restaurants.
Ken H. Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 It's going to be a loooong winter. Do you remember us having dinner at a truck stop in Joplin, MO? I told you it was cold up there Yeah I have noone to blame but myself. Just empathizing with the OP.

Must be the Early Bird, all you "seasoned citizens" and Damn Yankees that gave us residents the 5 minute waits we disliked originally!

KDeline Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 This is why we gave up our lives and jobs in Chicago and came down to the Sunshine State. Wonderful 78 today.
