There is ALWAYS hope, and I think in the end the honest people greatly outnumber the dishonest ones...... even if our media want to have us believe different :)

I'm not sure what I'd do if I found a huge sum of cash like that. What I mean is, I'd certainly be inclined to alert folks in charge, but I think I might want to maintain sole custody of the money until it can be returned directly to the owner, unless I knew I could really, really trust the folks I'd be handing it over to.

 

How would you handle it?

And yes, I too like stories like this. The kid did the right thing.

 

But it also is shocking to me that people carry around their life savings in paper bags.

Being the cynical cop that I am I would not be surprised to know that money likely wasn't earned by the man claiming it by sacking groceries...
