Joe Frickin' Friday
I'm not sure what I'd do if I found a huge sum of cash like that. What I mean is, I'd certainly be inclined to alert folks in charge, but I think I might want to maintain sole custody of the money until it can be returned directly to the owner, unless I knew I could really, really trust the folks I'd be handing it over to. How would you handle it? Link to comment
bakerzdosen
Obviously inaccurate reporting: "The first thing that went through my mind was keeping it," he said. [snip] "You always hope that people would do the right thing," she said. "He didn't even think twice." And yes, I too like stories like this. The kid did the right thing. But it also is shocking to me that people carry around their life savings in paper bags. Link to comment

Being the cynical cop that I am I would not be surprised to know that money likely wasn't earned by the man claiming it by sacking groceries... Link to comment
