MapSource for my Mac...

Just wondering if anyone is using MapSource on their Mac and happy with the solution software Garmin is supplying...

I tried a few months ago and it wasn't great. I need to do a clean 're-install' on my Mac Air and was hoping to not have to do the WinXP install as well, just to be able to do route planning from the Air while on the road...its a PITA to have to use bootcamp or VMWare, taking so much of the already limited resources of my little Air just to run one application, i.e. MapSource...

I believe its called Bobcat for the mac. I've used it a few times and thought it worked pretty well. I don't have any experience with mapsource as I've never owned anything but macs so I can't compare the two.

Hi JR356...(no name??), thanks for the info and the link...I had 'Bobcat' a few months ago and it was woefully lacking, compared to Mapsource.

I converted, migrated and installed all my Maps from the PC side of my Mac last nite. Then downloaded 'Roadtrip' and got everything running OK.

However it is still a poor cousin to the PC version...but perhaps with time and upgrades it will become more functional, ( as I age and go the other way :-)
