Satguy Posted November 15, 2008 Share Posted November 15, 2008 Yes, you will need a "Canbus" charger if you want to charge your battery throught the controlled acessory socket. On the other hand, you can connect virtually any trickle charger directly to the battery. Just remove the small battery cover directly behind the handle bars to gain access to the battery. I don't even remove the cover, instead I have an SAE connector pigtail wired to the battery, sticking out of the cover a couple of inches. Normally my tank bag plugs into the connector.
