Huzband
I plan on adding a set of driving lights in the near future. I'd like to wire them to come on with the high beam, without having to use an extra switch. Question is, how do I do this without sending the CanBus into a frenzy? Link to comment

Danny, just use a power relay to operate the driving lights (fused & powered from the battery) then tie the relay’s control circuit to the high beam wire (going to the high beam light bulb itself) & ground.. The very little extra load the relay’s control circuit coil places on the light circuit will not even be noticed by the can-bus.. Check your state’s laws regarding driving lights & high beams as in a lot of states it is illegal to have driving lights lit with high beams on (not that most police enforce that law) Twisty Link to comment
Huzband
Thanks, Twisty. I was wondering if just a relay would do the trick, but wanted confirmation first. I'm not worried about the po-lice. Idiots around here have a habit of driving around with their high-beams on, & I seem to be the only one that cares. They don't have DL's tied into them, but I won't be using mine in town anyway. Link to comment
Whip
I plan on adding a set of driving lights in the near future. Make sure they work underwater, or they won't be very helpful when the bike reaches it's true potential. Link to comment
