Uggles
Collective Wisdom Time - Fuel / Oil ratio I can't find anywhere. To get the right mix do you; a) Put in the required amount of oil and then top up to the required volume of fuel? i.e. 400mL oil and 19.6L fuel gives you 20L mix @ 50:1 or b) Put in the required amount of oil and then the required volume of fuel? i.e. 400mL oil and 20L fuel gives you a 20L (really 20.4L) mix @ 50:1 Hope I've asked the right question. TIA Cheers, Link to comment
Paul Mihalka
I think we are splitting hairs. Doing it one way or the other would not make any difference. In my two-stroke times the common ratio was 25:1 so we put in .4l of oil and then 10 liter (or is it litre?) of gas at the pump. Link to comment
David
Technically "b", but as Paul states, it won't make a lick of difference. Link to comment
Uggles
Thanks guys. Paul, it is litre. and David, I was thinking a) would tend to oil up the plugs a bit quicker. Cheers Link to comment
DaveTheAffable
Of course, many years ago all bikes were two strokes. Germany was no exception. You should always add one litre when you put the hose in. Hence...... Litre Hose In Isn't this board just a wealth of good info? Link to comment
