Tony_K
What!? A tire worn out from use???!!! How is this possible? Link to comment
DualSporter Rich
Just like checking your oil, we cannot discount the importance of ensuring correct tire pressure everytime before you ride. This could be the reason for what you are considering to be unusual or premature wear of your Metzlers. Just my (very obvious) $0.02. Thanks, Link to comment

I don't want to sound like a smart *ss So, from what I read is that you ride the bike upright for 90% of the time and where the tyre runs on the road it is worn? All of us experience this it is called wearing it out. It can be a variable, in terms of how soon it happens (tyre pressures, load, temperature, weather conditions, road surface etc), but it will happen and 6000miles is what many of us would consider a change point especially when a bike is used so consistently in one style (again 90% motorway). bmweerman
That is absolutely normal. I usually get about 6k period out of any rear tire. Just the cost of doing business. Link to comment
Bruch
Denniskirk.com has that front tire for about $113 now. I think thats a price drop from the summer when I first looked. Bruch Link to comment
