Whip
AZ Halloween bash started on Wednesday evening for me. Ed rode up from the Valley to spend the night so we could get started in the mornin. He had been to our house a couple times and the dogs have taken a likin to him. Our plan was to ride over to the Guadalupe Mountain and then see the White sands on our way to Silver City NM. I-10, 285 North, then......652 This is how you rotate your tires in West Texas if ya don't have a lift. We stopped at the 652/285 intersection to do a little explorin. I always wonder about these places. What was it like here when it was open for bidness????? What were the people like, that ran the place, and what happen to them????? I wonder what was locked up in here and how long before it/they busted out????? Maybe they had to use the bathroom????? The stories this truck could tell?????????? I'd like to meet the person that sat in this chair and watched the world go by. It didn't take long to get to the Park When we got to the visitors center we found out that there are no roads through the park, only unpaved paths. Leaving the park I stopped for gas and was greeted by these fine feathered friends. Ed was thinkin about Thanksgiving........ They didn't think much of us. After a good nights rest in Alamogordo NM we soon came upon White Sands Monument Anyone know what kinda track this is.....it's about 1 inch square. It looks like snow.... We planned on meeting Johnlt along 152........152 is a great road!!!!! Not so fast John you could hurt yourself. He brought CraigC with him. It looked to me like John was holding him up all day. This guy was way ahead of em....... When we got to Silver City we were met by this...... There is a story about a BMW bike tryin to mate with a BMW car and the bikes owner getting between them. It obviously didn't end well for the toe. The bikes owner was saved not by his riding partner who shall remain nameless, but by a 90 year old women that pulled the bike off the toe. The driver of the car left without ever realizing how close his car came to being violated by a R1200RT. It's prolly better he never finds out. I had to room with that toe for 2 nights.....about midnight it looked like this. Needless to say I had to sleep with one eye open at all times. The next mornin we got to do what we came here to do.....ride the Devils Highway(used to be called 666)but first we had to have a riders meeting in the parking lot. Am I the only one that sees a Baboon here.. Anyway we skipped the riders meeting and took off. We stopped in Clifton for a view of the mining operation. It looks like somethin the Egyptians would have done. It was a great weekend....... I am now one with the K1200R Sport. Whip Link to comment

Twisties
I am now one with the K1200R Sport. I thought it was more an issue of being two with it, or two being one, or something or another to do with Mrs. Whip. Nice pics. Possibly the tracks are actually something burrowing up, or a maybe a spider hidden below. If they are tracks they look awfully old and worn in that shot. See Ya, Jan Link to comment

Sorry we ran off and left you on the ride back, but I could not reel Bro. Limecreek in, he was headed for the barn and nothing was going to stop him. I hear he has an appointment with the therapist today, to go over some of those issues, AGAIN. He is not cured yet but we are working on it. Link to comment

** Chris **
I agree. It takes more effort to take pictures like this than just another snapshot. i.e. taken same basic area; That is why there are 52 billion cameras in the world, and so few photographers. Link to comment
