yabadabapal
I was working late as usual tonight. i was in the studio examining a song to be mastered when I heard a little blip in the mix. I sent the song into a computer to examine the sound waves on the monitors. i couldn't find the blip(short noise) So I expanded the sound wave of the entire song to 150 times its original length and 5o times its height. It took me 3 hours to scroll through this 3 minute song. But i found it, captured it, and destroyed it. Then I re entered the repaired song back to its original format. On the way home, I was thinking as usual about motorcycles and wanted to ask. When you have a problem with your bike, do you notice it most of the time by how it sounds, or how it feels, or how it smells. Link to comment
Francois_Dumas
I lost some of my hearing during too many airliners flights and I don't smell anymore. So it goes through feeling mostly I guess Link to comment
Bologna
After racing MX for many years you develop a sense for what is happening with your machine. As in any form of racing motorcycles you smell for rich jetting, feel for perfect balance with your suspension, hear if parts are broken and ready to fall off or throw you off at the next corner. Once you develop this sense it will follow you into the next chapter of riding, whatever that might be. Today when I ride the RT my brain is constantly monitoring the smell, sounds, feedback from the bars and that my friend is why I ride and how I know that a new sound may be the start of something. Penforhire
I feel a radiating pain starting in my wallet But seriously, sound and feel most of the time. People vary. It bothers me when I drive my wife's Jeep and her tire pressure is just below the bottom the spec range. She can't sense it at all. Link to comment
