96 K1100LT - Dad's Bike - leaking forks

I am usually on the hexhead part of this forum but I just finished a ride with my Dad up to the Smokey's and both his forks are leaking. They were dry when we started a week ago, first one started leaking in Daytona then the other started just yesterday.

 

Is this something a guy with so-so mechanical skills can fix, and what do I need to fix it?
