moshe_levy
Hello All- Had the tupperware off today to perform some overdue nagging maintenance, and decided to renew the starter. In my haste, I did not make notes of exactly where everything was when I took the starter off. There is an oddly shaped copper washer (perhaps a shim, not a washer) that goes on either the + or - terminal of the starter. Does anyone know which terminal, and what the orientation / positioning should be? Sorry for the stupid question but I would hate to put the tupperware back on only to discover an even "stupider" installation error... -MKL Link to comment
moshe_levy
I should clarify - this isn't the standard round washers for the nuts that hold the wiring in place. This one I refer it is an odd shape with a tab on one side, made of copper. -MKL Link to comment

millbert
I think that "washer" is there to stop the cable from twisting when you tighten the nut. Link to comment
