blkvelvt
I got word that the S1000RR was dropping the front forks for production and staying with the telelever front end. Only the race bikes will have inverted forks. Anyone else hear anything. It was a pretty reliable source in R and D for ***** racing and I didn't want to believe it. I figured the forks would go to production as well. Is it too much to wish BMW would make one normal bike? Link to comment
ghaverkamp
The F-series isn't "normal?" Link to comment
Boffin
I doubt that could be true due to the limited amount of modifications you are allowed to make for racing. The homolgation rules are very strict in that regard - the only way the street bike could have tele-lever forks is if the 1000 production bikes needed for homolgation are sold in the country or territory where the bike is homolgated, and the model offered elsewhere is different. I can't see BMW having the build capacity to do that, let alone the poor marketing sense (not even BMW are that stupid) Superbike homolgation rules. Andy Link to comment

JTWright
None of the sites, and my regular dealer don't seem to know anything about ordering or availability. Anyone heard anything? Thanks Jim Link to comment
