Hermes Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 The general warning light, under the ABS light for the ABS and rear brake, came on, or didn't go off, after starting the bike. I stopped and turned the ignition off and then on again and all seems well, e.g. I can't re-create that fault. Now, it may be my imagination but it seems the cycle of the Server takes a bit longer then b4, still though, true or not, the light (under the ABS warning light)does go off and all seems fine. No leaks, reservoir is up, fluid looks clear brakes are as (too) powerful as ever, any idea?
Boffin Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Non-flashing general warning light means either the stoplight or taillight has failed. The ABS unit then uses the other bulb for the appropriate function so hides the visual cues. This intermittent fault could be caused by a filament that has failed, then re-welded itself, of from a dirty socket. I had a similar issue a while back and I swapped out both bulbs as a precaution. Hermes Posted July 20, 2008 Author Posted July 20, 2008 Thanks Andy, I will check out, re-seat and maybe replace the bulbs today, sure sounds plausible given that everything else looks ok. Jurgen
