LOL!

I don't really have an issue per say with the classes as defined.

FX (Daytona Superbike) is a great class and promotes some really good racing. Factory Superbike similar to World Superbike, which also makes for some great racing. And American Superbike is what the teams like Jordan have been asking for so that they can compete with the factories.

I'm curious to see who's going to play in each class.

Mostly I just think it's stupid to call everything by such a similar name. Right now, the casual fans have trouble keeping Supersport, Superstock, FX, and Superbike straight in their heads. Now you're calling everything Superbike. WTF? Couldn't their marketing folks come up with some decent names?

As an aside, I wouldn't be surprised to see DMG start squeezing Factory Superbike...bad timeslots on TV, less advertising and promotion, etc with the intent of slowly killing it and forcing everyone to American Superbike and Daytona Superbike, which is basically the two classes that the proposed in the first place.

First thing I thought after reading it. I would venture a guess that after they have squeezed a bit, we'll see a "brand freshening" by way of a name change and a class disappearing.

Next Spring should be interesting as they unfold the following year's rule sets, etc.

Personally I cannot wait to see a series run by Tim Buche, Mel Harris and Ray Blank....may as well throw Henny Ray into the mix also....
