kalpol Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Came across this, looks like just what I want to mount my GPS. Bit pricey though. http://www.cyclegadgets.com/images/RCB-MG-R1150RT_sm.jpg On this page: http://www.cyclegadgets.com/products/RAM/ram.asp?prod=RAM-MERIDIAN Any other 1150RT people seen this before?
LGannon Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 I bought one about six months ago, was 100% satisfied with the way it looks and fits, it comes with one 1" ram ball but you can add an addditional two, I have my garmin GPS on a short Ram arm which puts it just above the clocks

Does it require drilling any holes?
Vicious_Cycler Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 I have one on my '03 RT for GPS. I love the clean looks, install is piece of cake, and w/ space for 3 RAM's everything is centrally located . I bought mine from a company in Britan ( http://www.sportouring.com/part.php?itemGroup=232&bikeModel=R1150RT ) when Cycle Gadgets was out of stock. With the Euro-Dollar exchange rate, I was a little shell shocked by the price . If Cycle Gadgets is back in stock, my thought is jump in quick.
Kenny2 Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 I have mine installed with the SkyFi2 and Garmin 2610. It attaches by the two bolts under the dash cover lip and with the XM antenna attached to the radio ram mount the screen doesn't lower all the way. Great view of everything.
Mr. Frank Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 If you're looking at options, check out the ones James Gordy makes at . I love mine. I have no financial interest.
LGannon Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 No drilling required, just replace the two existing screws with the longer ones supplied, I got mine direct for the guy who makes them, Migsel
Linz Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 I have the same unit to use with my Navman on the R1150RT. The fitting looks stock and not out of place when the GPS isn't fitted. I just wish that the R1150RT had a power outlet on the dash as my R1100RT had. I know I could install one but I'm hopeless with anything with wires... Linz
DGShaffer Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 I've been robbed. I designed this mount back in 03.

Done, ordered one. probably worth more than the GPS i'm attaching to it, but that just means I need a new GPS! Thanks for everyone's input.
