whyme Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 I went to bmw today to pick up some stock replacement pads for the front of my 2002 r1150rt. The parts guy tells me the price has gone up. $85 x 2 for just the pads . I am looking for another option here. Any suggestions with parts numbers would be greatly appreciated. By the way the replacement fuel filter was $35.

John Dickens Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 EBC Kevlar have served me well for the last 7 years. They brake just like the standard pads but with much less dust. If you want even better braking you could go to their HH sintered pads.
ShovelStrokeEd Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 +1 on the HH pads. They haul my Honda Blackbird's fat ass down from speed in no uncertain fashion.
AndyS Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 I too use EBC HH pads front and rear. To me they have the exact same feel as the stock BMW pads and have had the same 'life' as I was getting from my stock pads. (Actually I get more life out of the front than I did with stock pads). Andy

SinNH Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 +1 on the EBC Kevlar, been using them for a decade or so,they don't have the bite of the HH initially, but they are easier on the rotors .
