The LAST Julian Breakfast Ride. Sunday, July 20th.

At least the LAST ONE I'll probably ever be a part of.

As you may have heard, I'm relocating to Washington, so this is kind of like my good-bye ride.

As one of my last duties for my current employer, Brown Motor Works, I'm leading a Breakfast Ride to Julian on Sunday, July 20th. If you're in SoCal, then you're as likely one of our customers as one of the members here, so please join us.

For those who've gone before, you know that the Bakery in Julian opens about 7:45 or so (time is not rigidly adhered to in Julian), and if we're not there around that time, we'll be sitting on the sidewalk waiting our turn with a bunch of two- and four-wheeled Winnebago pilots.

So that means a 6AM departure from Brown Motor Works (Eddie, our Service Manager will lead that group).

There will also be a group leaving from my house in Ontario if you know the way (PM me for directions if you don't).

We'll ride down I-15 and take the Hwy 79 South exit in Temecula, stopping at the Mobil station on the east side of the overpass. That's where, at 7AM, we'll meet up with anyone coming from San Diego and other points south.

From there, we'll ride together up into the eastern San Diego mountains to the quaint town of Julian where oatmeal/walnut/apple pancakes, buttermilk biscuits with sausage-laden gravy, and omelets so big even Glockster can't eat one, await us.

It'll be my last chance to see and say good-bye to many of you. Yes, Mom's pies will be open around 9AM. And I promise you'll be home WAAAAY before Laguna Seca is shown on TV.

See you there.

I'm on call until Monday morning at 8am. I'll begin looking for someone to cover for me beginning tomorrow. Phone service is a litte sketchy down that way so I don't want to risk it.

Damn elevator's, wish they could baby sit themselves!!

IN.......I hope.

If I'm honest...I know I'll be on the Tuono.

I might even hook up the FRS so I can hear 'Nando's lips flappin' all the way there and back.

From here, that would make for a loooonnnng morning ride. Though I did once boast of making the trip to Brown's in less then 60 minutes I doubt I could get away with a repeat -:eek:

Fernando, the timing on this just sucks! The new house still has way too many boxes laying around and making space in the garage for Laney's car is weighing heavy on my mind. Ya'll ride good, we'll be wishing we were there.

Wish I could be there. I'm leaving today for Idaho. Be back Sunday night. Best wishes.

We are on our way back from Idaho so getting up early Sunday Morning won't be easy but we wouldn't miss it for the world. We will see you in Temecula.

BTW We tried out Jeremys on the Hill in Wynola on the 4th and the food was great!

We'd love to have you join us. Prolly see you at the Mobil station around 7-ish.

Found my replacement. The elevators of Southern California can rest easy (so can the people that ride them.)

I'll see you all at the Mobil station.
