Doncha just love intermittent electrical problems?

Hiya folks,

 

My 2000 R 1100 RT has started having an intermittent electrical problem this year. It started with a blown fuse on the turn signal/windshield motor/clock circuit. After replacing the fuse my turn signals have started working intermittently. usually they will start working again as soon as I move the windshield a hair in either direction. Sometimes the windshield will refuse to work also. Occasionally the clock spontaneously re-sets.

 

Has anyone else had this type of behavior from their R1100 RT? I've looked for loose wires and found none. Next I'll try replacing the turn signal relay. Not sure where else to go since it's intermittent.

Have you checked the fuse holder?

Mine has a loose wires under the box... if I hit a bump, my running light goes out, if I hit another it comes back on. When I reach under and press it in, it works for a while until it it works it's way back loose.
