He's talking with Kawi

I'm sorry things didn't work out for him on the Ducati this year but on the other hand, maybe we'll get to see Hayden next year on it and see what he can do. I wonder if Marco will be able to finish out the year on it or will Ducati pull him after Laguna and give it to Sete or their test rider for the second half of the season.

It really is perplexing. Marco was 2nd in the MotoGP points a few years ago in the 990 days and if I'm not mistaken, he's got a 250 world title under his belt. He _should_ be doing better...a lot better.

I'd really like to know how much of Casey's success is Casey, how much is Ducati, and how much is Casey+Ducati. Nobody else can make the 800cc Desmosedici do...ANYTHING, and Casey dominates with it so I'm thinking it's a Casey+Ducati thing, but who knows?

I wouldn't mind seeing Nicky as Casey's teammate next year either.

As for Sete coming back to finish off the season...bring it on!

Unless he suffers a similar fate to Melandri...or even Capirossi...he couldn't even get what Casey gets out of the Ducati, and he's freakin' Loris Capirossi! (though, I do think 06 would have been a great year, if not a championship year for him, had he not been collected in that huge crash early in the season).

I dunno...I think Honda is not treating Nicky kindly, but I worry that Ducati may be the fire, and Honda the frying pan. Yamaha seems to treat its riders well, but they have a good stable right now; if I were them, I wouldn't be changing that roster up any time soon.

I really expected Melandri would do better. Disappointed for him. I think Hayden to Ducati is a done deal. I don't think he is happy at Honda and he has not been among the front runners. I would like to see Vermuelen on a more competive bike. An all Australian Ducati Moto GP team . Not going to happen. I think Sete will be racing Ducati by the end of the season. We are getting reported after Laguna Seca when Melandri will be dumped and Gibernau will slot in. Interesting times.

A Killer Duc or just maybe a Great Rider?

BabyCow-

That's pretty much what we've been reading over hear for awhile. FYI: I was pulling for Vermuelen to be picked up by Ducati instead of Marco this time last year. If Sete gets Marco's ride after Laguna .... the second half of the season could be very interesting indeed.

I wonder if he can pull a Bayliss and run up front.

Sete run in front of Stoner? With a rocket inserted in his rectum maybe but Valentino will be having too much fun playing with his head...

Will Vale waste his time playing mind games with Sete when Sete isn't in the points chase?

Imagine the scenario that Sete starts to run in the front group and Rossi is getting held up by one Ducati whilst trying to chase another Ducati. Do ya think Sete will remember the head games and what do u think may happen when Rossi is trying to pass or is passing. What goes around comes around :lurk:. (Start of rant)Jerry - Stoner does not get the recognition he deserves for his riding ability which is why there are articles such as killer Duc or great rider, other comments such as one season wonder, not in the same class as Rossi (that one off this board) etc etc. Yamaha started off the season with a distinct advantage which helped Lorenzo, Rossi and, and to a certain extent ,Edwards hit the ground running. Good luck to them but I did not see anyone complaining then.Sure Rossi can make a push bike fast but Lorenzo and Edwards? Last year it was Rossi and his inference about tyres, mutterings about traction control blah blah blah which has been picked up (by the ignorant masses  ) . Rossi gets the Bridgestones and half way thru the season the tyres have made no change in his performance. He is still running with Pedrosa points wise as last year. This whingeing overlooks the fact that two very very good racers have not been able to make the Ducati perform. I think Stoner is one out of the box.....just like Doohan.......and bike racing fans know what he did.(Rant over) BTW, I am sure u know rain makes the rider much much more of a factor which is why Vermuelen runs much better in the rain and others fall. That is why I would like to see him on a more competitive bike. I would prefer Ducati but Honda or Yamaha would be just as good.....or get the Suzuki up to speed by development
