Green RT Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 This has nothing to do with BMWs but I thought some might find it interesting... The most popular motorcycle in Guadalajara is a Honda Cargo. This is a 125 cc, single cylinder bike with a single drum brake front and rear. They apparently come in various colors but white is by far most common. Complete specs are on the web page linked below (in spanish). They are used for everything: delivery vans, personal transportation. I don't know what they cost new, but they go for about the equivalent of $1500 USD when a year or two old and around $300 USD when 7 or 8 years old. They remind me a little of the Honda 305 I had in the late 1960s. The brakes seem about that vintage, but the CDI ignition and 5 speed transmission suggest they don't have much in common mechanically. I occasionally see modern bikes in Guadalajara. Harleys are relatively commmon and there is a club of BMW riders called the Pig Riders. But the Cargo is everywhere. Picture and specs Will Guadalajara, Mexico
