While making my way to Annapolis MD through the mountains of Virginia on July 2, I got a flat rear tire out in the middle of the countryside. Thankfully, I had a Stop 'N Go plugging kit and was able to get enough air in the tire to travel 7 miles to a gas station where I was able to fill the tire up with air. While the plug was leaking air, I was able to make it into Charlottesville that evening and find a motel room to plan my next step and get some rest.

July 3 - I wake up to a completely flat tire and I used one of the CO2 cartridges to get enough air in the tire to make it to a gas station in order to fill up with air again. I monitored the tire and it was leaking a pound of air every 5 minutes. My MOA book shows me the closest BMW dealer is Mortons over in Fredericksberg, about 70 miles away. I decide to wait until 9 a.m. to call Morton's and get some advice. While I'm waiting at the gas station, I see a fellow on a BMW RT pull into the parking lot across the street. I ran over to converse with him as he was hurriedly on his way to a meeting. He ended up giving me the name of Anton Largiader.

I called Anton and he had a rear Michelin Pilot Road2. Anton was on his way to West Virginia to rescue a Moto Guzzi, but he told me to come on over. He had a new tire installed in 45 minutes and I was back on my way. Oh yea, when inquiring about payment, Anton accepted only cash of check. I told him I'd have to run down to an ATM and get some cash, Anton tells me just to mail him a check when I get back home to Georgia. Can you believe that! Thank you Anton.

If you need BMW help and you're near Charlottesville, there is help there. Anton was extremely competent, friendly, and charged very fair pricing.

Good Riding!

Anton IS a great guy! I recommend his services to anybody. He has full BMWNA factory training as he works part time at Battley Cycles.
