Zumo Mount UK

I know this has been covered many times but, despite loads of research, I cannot find a thread that deals with a Zumo mounts available in the UK. In short, I need a mount that does not vibrate, does not need drilling and sits above the instruments. I have gone off the idea of the Migsel due to the vibration reports.

 

Could someone also please clarify whether the Zumo plugs directly into the plug in the wiring loom without the need for any mods?

Woody's Importarium (http://www.woodysimportarium.com/) is run by a really helpful guy called Mike Bines. He can get you the GPS mount that was sold by Motorrad Concepts until they went bust but which is now manufactured by Migsel. I have one of the original mounts with Zumo 550 attached and have never had any problems with it in over 15,000 miles of mixed riding. The mount sits on top of the dash below the screen and uses the two existing screws which hold the dash in place. No drilling required but you will need to dismantle the front end a little to fit the wiring behind the dash. In order to connect your new Zumo to the BMW socket hidden near the headstock you will need to buy the appropriate connector from your dealer. Instead you can hard wire the Zumo into the supply to the power socket on the left hand fairing. Again, I did this and have had no problems with power to the GPS. All in all a very neat solution!
