Tbuck Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I get a brake failure code and red light and the dealer (BMW of Atlanta) says the ABS Pressure Modulator is bad. $2,200 for the part. I have called other dealers and they all quote that price. I have talked to some salvage yards (beemerboneyard and others) but no one has a used one. I have heard there is someone in Texas that rebuilds them. 85,000 miles on my RT and I was just getting ready to sell it to upgrade to newer RT or GT. Has anyone had any experience with this part? I do have linked brakes with a servo assist. Thanks.

hink Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I heard of someone eliminating their abs unit completely after they failed and they rear ended a car. That could be an option and I beleive it would be cheaper. The quetion would be how bad do you want linked brakes with abs. I have seen brake parts at the beemer boneyard from time to time.
