Currently have the BMW stock wind screen...considering something different for a couple reasons. With the screen in the full up position I notice pressure forcing my head forward. If I lower the screen about a half inch the pressure is gone but a good bit of wind noise comes on. Secondly my wife constantly offers comments (complains) about turbulence. Thoughts? Solutions? I have the seat in the highest position, I am 6ft 2 inches and need it to keep my knees out of my ears for the highway rides. Will a taller/wider screen help? Currently I keep the screen a bit lower and use ear plugs to manage the wind noise but I have to take them out at times to listen to my wifes comments.

Yes a taller windscreen will help you for sure. I might recommend something like +3"/4"H, +2"/4"W based on your height. I have a C.B. Euro cut, light gray tint. The Euro style flips up 2-3" before the top of the screen which funnels air over the top of your helmet. I have a +1H, +2W but I am only 5'7" so I don't need a tall screen. Oh, by the way, the light gray tint will look very nice on your red bike.

I too am 6'1" and mounted a taller windscreen (Wunderlich, what else) and it sure helps to have more options. Putting it up it takes the noise out of my head!

Buffet really depends on the direction of the wind.... wind in the back is best  With hard wind (which we have often here) the tall screen will still induce buffet. It also makes the pillion's back colder. MY wife complains when riding in colder weather. When I turn the shield down and get much more wind pressure on my head, Nina actually has less problems with wind and cold air. I shield her from it.

So I don't think there's a one-solution-fits-all. I for one am very happy with the taller screen..... especially when riding solo, in bad weather, and with slower speeds.

Just a note on my experience with my R1200RT. I went from stock to the Ztechnik VStream. It gave more coverage than stock, however we experienced quite a bit of turbulence, particularly at highway speeds. I installed a California Scientific and what a difference it made. The CalSci has won me over and the wife agrees.
