ltljohn Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 I pulled the radio out of my 02 R1150 RT 2 years ago. I finally got around to trying to sell it. I found a buyer but I did not have the release code to turn it back on. I bought the bike used and it was not written in the manual. I took it to the my local dealer (Hermy's) and they e-mailed Germany with the info. I just got an email from them with a list of codes to try. I went out to the garage to hook it up and while I was working the last plug into place I bumped the on button and lo and behold it works, I never tried a code. Here is my question when did they start putting anti theft codes in the radios?
Haynes Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 As far as I know, the 2002 RT radios did not have a code. They were produced by Clarion, branded BMW and look like this.
CleoBen Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Our '99 has an antitheft code. It came with the bike from the seller. CB
