Good thing you picked that weekend, every squid in the west will be out on those roads the following weekend, what with the MotoGP circus in the area. JR356
Marty Hill Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Hey Todd, Enjoy some pie in w'ville. Heading north from there you will come on a one way bridge with a stop light. Not sure how new it is so thought I'd mention it. Other than that, great road.
Todd_Z1 Posted July 7, 2008 Author Posted July 7, 2008 Marty, Thanks for the update on the one way bridge. Next time I get over to Gizdich I'll send you a picture of a piece of pie so you know what you are missing. Cheers! Todd
Marty Hill Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Todd, I know what I'm missing!!! Have a great ride.
Les is more Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Please note: The meeting place address has changed. See here.
TonyTsai Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Todd, you need to hit this spot , i was just up there, i thought the road was design by the racer! ha!
Todd_Z1 Posted July 8, 2008 Author Posted July 8, 2008 Can't remember if I have ridden that one or not. It looks like a good one though. Post a ride invite and let's do it together. Cheers! Todd
TonyTsai Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Can't remember if I have ridden that one or not. It looks like a good one though. Post a ride invite and let's do it together. Cheers! Todd todd, i think there is a Gold Country I-BMW K bike rally in September (Sonora), I will definitely hit that, and Stewart's point, which i heard is very closed to "heaven" for us. when the dates get closer, i will let you know to exchange some contact/meeting info.
keithb Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Todd Why don't you blow off the Coalinga thing and ride over to Kings Canyon this weekend and hang out. I will be there with about 8 or 9 other people camping in Stoney Creek campground which is about halfway through the park on General's Highway. Leaving Friday morning from H.B. at 5 am for a quick jaunt up I-5, Rt. 99 and Rt. 65 to Porterville. From there it is two lane twisties.
Todd_Z1 Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 Keith, Thanks for the invite but I posted on another board plus personal invites to about 30 people. It would be rather rude at this point to blow them all off since I am the ride leader. Cheers! Todd
ESokoloff Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 CA H25 sure is a tasty road This was about 3+ years ago... Have a good time & I'm sorry I can't join you (guy's).
leikam Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I rode it just today and the road is in fine shape. The only fly in the ointment might be that the Hollister Rally is this weekend and will be ending on the 13th. I saw a lot of HDs headed north today and I expect you'll see a lot headed south on Sunday.
Todd_Z1 Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 Leikam, Thanks for the update on road conditions and the Hollister rally. H25 is one of the best roads in all of the SF Bay area. It is in perfect condition, with little traffic, even on the weekends. I have seen one Sheriff's car in the last eight years. Even with the rally traffic it will be a great ride. Cheers! Todd
CoarsegoldKid Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 So how was it? After being away riding the Pacific Northwest for 7 days I had other things to do or I'd have joined you.
keithb Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Geez Todd I didn't know you were going to have a train of riders behind you. Kings Canyon and Sequoia was just grand. I hope you and your fellow riders had a great time on Sunday.
