RFW Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Regarding the process to unplug the wiring harness from the antena ring, there is a simpler way. This may already have been covered, so forgive me if this is old news... There is no point at all to unscrew the 2 T10 screws in order to remove the plug. All you need to do is slide a small knife under the locking latch, then twist the blade a bit (carefully) to lift the latch slightly, then at the same time push the blade downward. The back edge of the blade will push on the lip on the connector and (with the latch now lifted clear) will pop the connector out enough that it will no longer be held by the latch. Then get your hand in there and pull the connector all the way out. ...and Bob's your uncle! A pointed Xacto knife works perfectly for this.
John, Northeast Florida Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Just seems a little easier with the cover removed Bob. The most difficult part is SEEING the tab! . Nice to see you here...the advantages of having the same LOGIN name. Looking good in the avatar picture...btw, presume that rehabilitation on schedule. Drop me a line when convenient. Or, I will, and send you the pix of my fabulous 6000 mile odyssey.
