Stephen_Chase Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Is it possible to add cruise control to a R1150 RT? If so, are there options? can you suggest a supplier? Thanks, Stephen
Haynes Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 I've been to the MC Cruise workshop as it is not far from where I live. These guys are extremely passionate about their product. I have two friends with MC Cruise fitted to their R1150RTs and they couldn't be happier with the operation. It's not cheap and the fitting and final adjustments take some time but they both agree that it is all worth it if you do a lot of long hauls like they do.
awagnon Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I added the MC Cruise control to my 2002 RT. It was a lot cheaper than buying a new RT. Works great. Holds the speed right on the number regardless of going up or down hill. Easy to install and the guys in Australia promptly answered the questions I emailed them by calling me on the phone (on their dime). Very satisfied. You can have them email the installation manual if you want to see how hard it is to install. Or I can email you a copy of mine.
