Long time member Mark Hawkins, "Ohio RT" has lost his beloved bride in a motorcycle accident. This Memorial Day Weekend, Kathi was riding her own bike behind Mark when she failed to negotiate a curve.

 

Mark says of his wife--

 

Kat(Kathi)and I were married at the Biltmore Estate last June 8th during the BMW RA rally. I was on crutches because we had a minor spill on the BRP four days before the wedding and broke my left ankle in 3 places. She was a wonderful woman who made friends everywhere she went with a perpetual smile and a zest for life that attracted people like a magnet. The world as well as me has suffered a great loss. I miss her dearly. She loved to ride and was my riding buddy as well.
