rkd
He can get the two side panels off but not the center one. Any suggestions? My '03 has two screws up front, and the back is trapped and bolted via the side panel screws. It simply lifts off at that point. When I mess with the battery, I don't bother completely removing the side panels, I just pry them off the center panel and remove the 4 screws. Link to comment
sjn7708
he said that there were clips or something holding the center panel on and he was afraid to break the clips pulling the center panel off? Link to comment
rkd
There were no clips on my bike (again, a '03), other than the way the side panels clip into the center panel - here's a write-up on the method, via the Chain Gang Technical FAQs: http://faq.f650.com/GSFAQs/Fairing_FAQ_GS.htm#GS Battery - Easy Access. bimmers
no clips on mine, just the 2 screws up front and two in the back after side panles are off. It is a pia but I would not want to just pry the center panel off either. Link to comment
