Tires. Going up.

I've just had visits from the reps from the major distributors. In conjunction with the DealerNews Motorcycle Industry Trade Show in Indianapolis next weekend, virtually all of the tire manufacturers are announcing price increases of 8-12%.

 

Since businesses set retail prices based on replacement cost, this means an almost immediate increase on the price of tires.

 

Just a reminder. If you think you're going to need a new set of tires this year, you might want to consider purchasing them right away. The savings could be as much as $40 now vs. later.

I would love to need only one set of tires a year . Thanks for the heads up, will get a set on order.

 

Man, all the price inflation in just about everything lately has me more worried about the economy than talk of recession.

Thanks for the info, just order a set of front and rears after reading this...they have gone up a little at SW Moto, but not much, since my last order...but that may still be a pre-increase price....
