markgoodrich Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 THIS is a great deal for a great tank bag. I have used this same model for several years on several bikes, and it looks like it did when I bought it. It's magnetic, but I think it may also come with straps if you prefer to attach it that way. I just put it on my tank, run one strap around the steering head, and it stays put simply from the weight of the magnets...makes it real easy to gas up. The bag converts to a day pack, too. The only downside is that my (older version) map pocket is so narrow that a map has to be folded..and folded...and folded, but then that's what GPS is for, now, isn't it? I notice the seller offers different colors. Oxford makes a silver version if you're obsessed with color coordination. I've no affiliation, just think it's a great product and that's a great price. Oxford's Sport saddle bags, by the way, are also really great, much more versatile than a hard bag...you can stuff them really full; wish I'd never sold them .
Lion_lady Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Thats the bag that lifts off my tank at +60 mph Good thing it has a tether. I ride a Rockster - no fairing. Seems to be something to do with the angled shape of the magnetic hold down pads. P
