wire gps to front plug on r1200

I have a 07 RT - I don't mean to jinx this for you as others do not seem to have experienced this phenomenon, however, I had my dealer do this install with power off of the front socket with an autocom set up with my gps and valentine radar. The explanation of the benefit was that if for some reason the gps was left on then it would not drain the battery as it would turn itself off after a minute or so. The problem that I have been having thus far is that ever since that install I cannot get the charger to do a full cycle without going to error. There is a clicking sound after it gets to 2/3 and the red power light of the autocom blinks in unison with the clicking. We are still working on it almost 6 months later. Yest the charger works on other bikes, it worked on this bike before the install and yes again, I have followed the proper on/plug in/off procedure. Go and figure. When I do get it resolved I will post as I am sure everyone on this board is more than through with reading my posts about it. tongue.gif

Good luck and you might want to have some holy water or a live chicken near by when you do the install - just in case.

Robert, I don't have a charger so perhaps all will be well.
