jeffemac
I just purchased a '96 R1100GS and find it a bit tall for my 28" inseam. I was expecting this and am attempting to find the best approach to lowering it to a more suitable height. Does anyone have experience lowering an R1100GS using the shorter torque arm from a R1100S? If yes, what are the disadvantages other than the obvious reduction in ground clearance? I know I can have the Ohlins shocks shortened or have the custom seat rebuilt, but just trying to understand my options and determine which would be the best route. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks... Link to comment
Bruce H
I have a factory lowered seat for that GS. You can have it for $125.00. I bought it for my son, who, turns out didn't need it. Link to comment
