jdaniel2
after an awful lot of back and forth, it has got down to a dealer offering an '08 RT with safety and premium packages for 18500 (MSRP is 19760). I'm on the fence. HELP! jd Link to comment

UberXY
Are you on the fence about: getting another bike? or getting an RT? or getting the RT at a good price? If it's door #3, the price is right. Link to comment
Motodan
I bought 2008 Blue/Silver which listed at $19,165 for $17,200 plus tax. A 2007 model [they still have three of those - all Silver] could be had for $16,400 plus tax. This is in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Link to comment
hANNAbONE
tHAT'S a lot of money...really now - a TON of money... Link to comment
Limecreek
Your dealer is only making a few hundred dollars on the deal. Still, $18.5K is a lot of money. I paid $16.5 for my '05, with cruise, heated grips, ESA, and Board Computer. It is hard to belive how much the RT's have gone up in 3 years. Do yourself a favor--look around for a used '07. Motodan
Dealer is making more than a few hundred bucks. Also, an '07 in Silver was available from Chicago BMW for $15,800.00 plus tax one month ago. List on it was $18,230 I believe. Link to comment
keithb
+1 on picking up a used 07. I would add a 2005 or 2006 also. Link to comment
Steve W.
Dang!! You could get a new Harley for that much $$$$. Cheers Steve Link to comment

jdaniel2
Thanks all for your response. I got the deal done. Unless this somehow goes south on me (unlikely but I don't have the bike in my garage yet), I'll be adding an R1200RT to the stable. I'm pretty excited. JD Link to comment
