R1150RS brakes

I'm a BMW club member in the UK and want to post a technical problem with my R1150RS. Coming home from

Done a tire change lately? It is possible the ABS sensor on the front wheel is at a marginal adjustment. I'd look there first, I don't remember the proper clearance, sorry.

Scushthebike, did you get a dash warning light before the failure or at the time of failure?

 

If it quit then the warning light came on or both at the same time possibly a power relay for the ABS system going out on you..

 

Were you using both brake levers when it quit? Or just using the front or rear lever? If only using one lever possibly a micro switch on the lever used is not making contact & starting the pump..

 

Next time it fails see if you can determine if the abs pump is wirring away even if you don’t have assist..

 

I’m guessing an ABS relay problem here or a wiring problem..
