An Accident

I think that I preferred the "Not Found" link more than the film. So, he bites it hitting a deer and then covers the stupid deer's dead head with a decent jacket: stupid. He fiends for a cigarette and later throws a hot lighter into the brush: stupid. He somehow remembers his girlfriend's phone number and leaves a message but forgot that she is actually just dead near his bike and the deer. I don't get it. What's the message? Don't ride motorcycles? Smoking is a crazy habit that even a brain-damaged fool can't stop?

"Not Found" as in the meaning of this nicely produced/edited film is "not found" in my pea-brain. Maybe I should start smoking to stimulate some additional brain activity at 1:15 in the morning. dopeslap.gif Maybe that guy should have been riding ATGATT-style with some decent lighting and not so early in the morning and that cameraman wouldn't have found him by the side of the road wink.gif

Dude,

The movie was never intended as a motorcycle safety film. Rather, it is a short "art" film. It actually won a contest sponsored by somebody or other, more on it over on the Adv board. Think of it as a short story, not a tutorial.

I found it very haunting. The audience is just trying to reconstruct what happened. The cigarette, match, lighter search is the method of leading us on the search.

Twilight Zone ending would have been perfect if the girl turned out to be a mannequin played by Ann Francis and he was William Shattner.

I am glad I ran across, and watched the film. Reminds us of some of the hazards out there riding, and though we do wear good helmets, injuries can still occur. Sad ending, but it does remind me, once again, to keep my eyes open, scan the roadsides and drive my bike at a speed that is controllable for the surrounding environment.

Though this may have been posted recently, I missed it, and am glad someone reposted and I got to see it.

A rather well done snippet of life. Very sad and poignant.

Met a fellow last fall that had just offed a deer, big bugger too. His GS wasn't running due to instrument cluster damage but with the proper gear and not falling down he was OK.

Makes me think of all the Bambies I've nearly hit on the many occasions. Zow, am I lucky.
