Thanks for the tip thumbsup.gif

So is gizmo mill going out of business or improving their product?

Anyone know the specs on these?

Heres another option at less then half the price but lacks the built in load resister & flasher feature.

I'm wondering which is brightest & by how much.

I'm not sure they are showing the right picture or item. I just ordered the BK0105 from San Jose BMW at http://sjbmw.com/parts.asp?Cat=Lighting%...ID=&page=3.

I would have bought it from HP tunning but I got impatient. But I did order the expansion kit BK0112 from him.

I was under the impression that these were a series of LED in a box configuration. If they are just two LEDs in a bulb socket, I may need to return mine for a refund. I want really bright brakes. smile.gif

Don't let the size fool you. These are not normal run of the mill LED's.

This is a quote from the bulb I linked too....

"These are by far the brightest LED Car Tail Light bulbs on the market

Our exclusive LX5 series bulbs use a 3 Watt Luxeon side emitting LED and 4 High Power surface mount LEDs

Achieves light outputs even higher than standard filament bulbs

220 degree beam angle illuminates entire tail light lens"

Did some digging around & found that the one for the KS is not well liked.

It's claimed to be not as bright (at least in the running light mode) as stock.

You are happy with yours?

I had the same reaction as PRC... and after installing, WOW! I'd never EVER have guessed that could get that much light from only 2 LEDs. You won't be dissappointed.

SWEEEET! I just ordered both kits - the brake light and expansion light - $128 shipped. It's like buy one, get one free!

Thanks for the heads up.

Agree 100%.

Great product.

Reliable and bright!

Am I reading the page wrong, or is there no model for the R12RT? I do see one model for the R12ST.... frown.gif

No unit for the R1200-RT.

The RT uses a single filament bulb which is pulsed at different duty cycles to produce the required brightness of tail light or brake light function. The current Brake! design require a non-pulsed source.

Ok, help an guy out here - the part listed is a BK0105 for an 1150RT, I'm assuming that it will also fit the 1100RT as well - and what purpose does the bulb extender BK0102 serve? confused.gif

I have an 1100RT and ordered the BK0105 and the BK0112.

The 105 is the replacement brake light. The 112 is a replacement for your regular tail light - making it brighter, too.

Yes, the BK0105 fits the R1100RT as well.......as for the extender, what Sam said thumbsup.gif

Given the supply problems reported for this product on this forum, is this a signal that the company is going belly-up? I note that the close-out price explicitely states, "No Warranty."

Probably just packing it it. They were only a 2-person basement operation in Victoria BC.

Rode to Bob's over the weekend -- they are fed up with BRAKE! and are not replenishing their inventory. They were not specific, but I gathered that supply and warranty problems abounded.

DESPITE the suppy and warantee problems............

This is a great product. I've had basic unit on my '04 RT for a couple of years and as another thread says, it's stupid bright and stupid noticable. Far and away the best LED conversion on the market. The flashing modulation keeps cage drivers off your tail and everybody I've ridden with thinks it's snot slick. I just ordered the last expansion at Santa Cruz BMW and another basic module.

I've been trying to get the expansion module for two years and ordered it from Gizmo Mill direct. They charged my credit card but never sent the module. I've tried dozens of times to get in touch with them by phone and e mail. They've responded a half dozen times, even admitting that they never shipped the expansion module. Mostly, though, the e mails and left messages aren't returned. It's a real shame. It's probably the best aftermarket addition to a motorcycle I've ever made.

I'm not going to worry about replacement. It's still worth it. Not much to go wrong there so it should last forever. Or at least longer than me.

A few months ago I went to great lengths to get one of these units from the manufacturer in Canada. They took my order, charged my card, and then nothing happened. They would not respond to emails and never picked up their phone.

Finally the product arrived. It's a very well made, marvelous device that I am glad to have. Installation was easy and the instructions were clear. It's really a shame that the company can't seem to provide any customer service. I wish another company would start making something as good, a unit that fits inside the existing taillight and is equally bright and has the pulsing capability. I don't like add-on units that alter the factory look. The GizmoMill unit seems like the best one out there. Right now no one seems to know if they are still in business, so unless you have hard facts it would be better not to speculate. But it does seem likely that some of their resellers are tired of dealing with them. Maybe GizmoMill will improve: I hope so!
