taters Posted January 30, 2008 Share Posted January 30, 2008 i went to a bmw website and they had a dry weight for a 1200rt listed as 505 pounds. does not sound right to me. that would make a wet weight of about 550. is this the right info. thanks Link to comment

BMW reduced the weight quite a bit when they went from the R1150RT to the R1200RT - exactly how much has been a matter of conflicting claims from BMW and a few magazines that weigh their test bikes. BMW says 505 pounds dry, 570 with all fluids but no cases. I think that MCN weighed their test bike a little closer to 600 pounds, but that may have been with cases.
