bcp858
Good evening, I had a fuel pump issue that required a replacement. No worries all wired in and ready to put the bike back together. Those lovely little quick disconnects are giving me fits. I remember reading about the quick disconnects leaking awhile back? Not sure on that one...but are there any issues with replacing the quick disconnects with normal fuel line? I think I understand the reasoning for them (ease of tank removal) however; what a hassle. Thanks. Brian Link to comment
PapaJ
You could probably do it, but it would be more hassle next time you had to pull the tank. If you don't like the BMW quick disconnects I would probably just replace them with something better. I know that there are several options out there, some even made of Stainless. Link to comment
Bruce C
Sure you can! Replace the stock quick disconnects with a 3-barb 5/16" hose coupling that is made of brass, available at any good auto parts store. Use screw-type hose clamps that are "fuel injection" rated. Link to comment
