I am thinking this will be my next bike.

Hi folks, I am new here.

I first saw an F800ST at the Long Beach (California) motorcycle show.

I recently sold a V Strom 650 - a great bike, but it was too tall for me.

The F800ST I sat on at the show must have been lowered by the factory. I could flat foot it perfectly!!!

I want a blue one with the optional luggage.

I would love to see your pictures.

This will be my 6th bike in six years.

My wife really liked being a passenger on the Strom, but again, I never did get accustomed to keeping it upright on my tiptoes...

Anyways, I sure would like to see some pics of your bikes!!

I got my F800ST for my b-day this last spring. I LOVE IT!!!!!

I am 5'5" and I am on the balls of my feet. I have a 29" inseam. This is my first street bike so I can't really compare it to anything except for my previous dirt bike. It is very competent and comfortable.

Here are a few pics that I was able to find........me in action.....

Looks like Jamie is giving her F800 a little pep talk or lecture! grin.gif

Here’s ours loaded down and ready to head out to the UnRally. I can see I didn’t have the seat properly positioned, which may explain why my ass started hurting eight hours later.

Here it is on the Blue Ridge Parkway on the ride home.

I think it’s a great bike. If I didn’t already have an R12ST, I’d probably have an F800S or ST.

Thanks for posting the pics, folks.

Yep, that's the one I want!!!

Can you tell me how many miles these bikes get to a tank of gas?

Best Regards,

Nu

To answer the 'miles on a tank of gas' question, the reserve light comes on at about 350km with the gauge showing almost empty at about 400km. You do the math.

Jamie is getting about 225 - 250 miles on a tank.

Averaging high 50's for mpg.

Jamie just called me to let me know that she just put exactly 4 gallons in after 218 miles. thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif Not bad!

I think next week I will start cruising BMW dealers in my area. Hopefully, I can get my F800ST in June, 2008.

Thanks again to all who replied!!
